Cuyahoga TOD Partnership + Branding

The TOD Initiative began in 2021 as a study of how land near transit is zoned across Cuyahoga County. Since then, five local agencies have come together to support development near transit. These partners are the Cuyahoga County Planning Commission, Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (GCRTA), City of Cleveland, Port of Cleveland, and Cuyahoga County. The main goal of the initiative is to support and encourage more Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) across the county. The five agencies meet regularly to share updates, develop strategies, and combine resources to help TOD projects move forward.

As the partnership continues to grow, the TOD Initiative is launching a new brand: Cuyahoga TOD.

This new identity is an exciting step forward. It reflects the initiative’s ongoing work to support development near transit. The logo’s skyline and bright colors represent movement, growth, and a shared vision for the future.

The brand also highlights the initiative’s message: “We’re growing places.” Transit-oriented development is about more than buildings and transit stops. It’s about creating connected communities where people can easily live, work, and get around.

As Cuyahoga TOD develops new resources and opportunities, the new brand will make it easier for partners, developers, and community members to recognize the initiative and learn about its work. The new Cuyahoga TOD website is an important part of this effort. It brings together resources such as RFPs and RFQs, development site profiles, community contacts, and funding opportunities. The website serves as a central place to find information about TOD in Cuyahoga County.

Overall, the new brand is an important step forward for the initiative. Through Cuyahoga TOD, the partners aim to help create vibrant, connected places where communities can grow and thrive.
